Lindsay Dawson
Lindsay
Dawson is one of the most skilled and talented Impressionist
painters living in America today. His eye for color and
his knowledge and control of his medium make it evident
that we are viewing the work of a true modern artist. No
shortcuts are taken here. No brushstroke is unnatural or
unnecessary here.
Working in the style developed and pioneered by Monet, Pisarro,
Childe Hassam and others, Lindsay Dawson extracts elements
of contemporary family life that remind us of our own childhood
memories, or those precious moments we loved seeing our
young children experience.
His Bygone Era paintings, also rendered in the Impressionist
style, capture the look and feel of a time when the world
was a much smaller, simpler and kinder place to live and
raise a family. If we are not old enough ourselves to remember
these beautifully emotional places, and most of us are not
, we will no doubt feel the irresistable urge to travel
back in time and soak it all in. Lindsay Dawson's paintings,
however, will never grow old, because they always look and
feel like the world we wish we could bequeath to all the
generations that will follow us.
